Edaf accusation denied by Mario Casasús in Mexican newspaper
Editorial refutes complaint book / "El Mercurio", Valparaíso, Chile
The Editorial Edaf refuted allegations made by journalist Mario Casasús the Mexican newspaper "El Universal" regarding the sale of the "Anthology" by Pablo Neruda, compiled by the poet to be distributed for free in the UP government, the I would have differences with the original.
The complaint, a copy of "El Mercurio de Valparaíso" and other national media, was denied by a letter signed by Melquiades Prieto, director of the Library Edaf (Spain), stating that "we have done the playback is complete and accurate, a flat line, with the copy owned by Professor Manuel Marquez de la Plata ... Maybe Mario could have incurred Casasús the mistake of confusing the arrangements for a particular issue with which to refer to the text itself, so that, in his opinion, be preferable, while there is a free edition whose expenses are covered by a public entity, the text is unknown to readers, except for four or five lucky holders of copies of the first edition (see philological considerations makes Marquez de la Plata in his introduction) ".
